On April 9th and 10th, a team from Skyscanner for Business will attend the 2016 MobCon Europe Conference in Sofia. The mobile technology event will draw-in attendees from across the globe and will cover topics such as mobile platforms and mobile web development, wearables, the Internet of Things, mobile testing and UI/UX design.

Filip Filipov, Keynote

Filip Filipov, director of Skyscanner for Business, will be giving opening remarks on Sunday. Filip is responsible for overseeing the planning, growth and development of the affiliate and data analytis products that are currently powering over 700 partners and leads a division of 40 employees from Sofia, where he has set up a satellite engineering hub.

Previously, Filip held a variety of senior management positions in a wide range of industries and areas, including Travel Capitalist Ventures where he was responsible for evaluating start-up opportunities in the travel industry and Everbread Limited, where he was Deputy COO of the business’s airfare pricing engine.

In addition to his keynote presentation, Filip will be on-hand during the day to discuss Skyscanner for Business products and affiliate opportunities among other topics.

David Low, Workshop: 'There's a chat for that - introducing the messaging economy'

David Low, who leads the Developer Advocacy program at Skyscanner, will be delivering a workshop titled ‘There’s a chat for that – introducing the messaging economy’ on Sunday. This session will discuss the concepts involved in natural language processing, the ‘messaging economy’ and how building mobile apps is no longer relevant for many use cases – ‘app components’ and bot services will be a lot more important in the future. As discussed in our recent blog post, conversational search is on the rise and Skyscanner is ready to lead the way!
